Flawed People. High Concept Situations
Before turning to screenwriting, J.K. Frazar served in the U.S. Marine Corps and built a life that has taken him across the world. Years spent living and traveling overseas gave him a fascination with unfamiliar places, cultural contradictions, and the strange ways people behave when they find themselves outside their comfort zones.That perspective carries into his writing. His stories range from comedy and mystery to science fiction and romance, but they tend to begin with the same thing: flawed people thrown into situations they are completely unprepared for. Whether the stakes involve murder, space travel, or simply finding the right person, he is drawn to stories that mix big premises with grounded characters, emotional stakes, and humor.
